My name is Tyson Agbayani and I am currently a student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. I was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii where I fell in love with playing and watching sports. I am an avid NBA fan and love everything and anything to do with the sport of basketball. I am currently participating in Bleacher Report's Winter Sports Writing Internship and looking forward to learning and polishing my sportswriting skills!

Thanks for becoming a fan, Tyson! I see you are pretty new to B/R — how are you liking it so far? Your writing is terrific, I especially enjoyed your Lakers piece, probably because I'm from LA originally and remain, somehow, faithful to the Lakers despite their obvious issues. It's also great to hear you are involved with the sportswriting internship. I actually was in the inaugural class of the internship a few years ago and absolutely loved it. The internship was a launchpad and gave me valuable experience with everything from deadlines to establishing my own sense of style and voice. Good luck, Tyson, and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out!
