My name is Kyle Brown, and I am currently a Senior at the University of Oregon, home of the Ducks. I grew up in San Jose, California, and lived there for 18 years until it was time to leave for college. Although baseball was the only organized sport I played, I am an all around sports fanatic for virtually every major sport. I have followed the Giants, 49ers, Warriors, and Sharks very closely my entire life, and I recently added the Oregon Ducks teams to the mix. I am majoring in Journalism with a minor in Business. I hope to be a sports journalist in the near future because it will combine my two favorite hobbies in life, writing and sports.

Taking out the start is entirely up to you. I will say that some readers might be taken back a bit by the start. To me, it did feel like you went 0-120 in two seconds with that start then immediately hit the brakes and went on into the rest of the story. It was an entertaining example for sure, but at least in my opinion, a bit much. But like I said, it's up to you if you want to change it or not.

I won't because returners don't audition. Good luck though. Let me know how it goes.

It's called Duck TV now. Basically we film the sporting events, editing them and have anchors read them. It's a good intro into the TV side of things. Here's some info on it.

Anyways. I would highly recommend it. It's a lot of fun and there are some great people to work with.

I noticed you go to the U of O. Have you thought of auditioning for Duck U. I've done the sports section for a year now and it's a pretty good resume booster. Anyways, I think auditions are this Thursday and Friday.
