Rocky Miskelly

I'm a sports junkie who travels about 140 days a year. I have been to all MLB, and NFL venues and am working on attending a game at each of the 141 minor league baseball parks that host a class high A team or above. I am about a third of the way through that "bucket" list.

Willis is a MONSTER. Love that guy. It's just too bad he's wasted on our trainwreck of a team. They're getting better though.

Yeah, Ozzie's the man. I was born in St. Louis in 1978 and didn't move to the Bay until 1987 so Ozzie holds a special place in my baseball heart - I was already going crazy, didn't need Jack Buck to tell me to. The Wizard will always be one of my favorites. Obviously, it's not an objective assessment, but he gets my vote for best SS of all-time.

Cute kid by the way. I've got 2 nieces who look to be on either side of him in age judging from the picture (8 and 4). They're angels, but then I get to give them back.

Oh, and it will always be Pac Bell to us. You got it right.

I think it's a little early to start on a bucket list. I mean, you're like 5, 6 years old? I don't think you need to worry about the bucket until you can at least grip a regulation football ;-)

    Thanks for the comments.

Fantastic articles Rocky, good to have another Southern (and a Mississippian to boot) who admits to being a Yankees fan. I'm from Texas, but my mama is from Pascagoula & have many wonderful memories of growing up in that neck of the woods.

    Keep up the great wrok!

-I really love your stuff! It's almost like you, in a way, are the grandfather, huddling your grandchildren (the readers) close by the fire, and recollecting the awe-inspiring stories of your pass.
That's really cool that you are from Tupelo, MS. I have been there once in my life. A couple years ago I was in a Drum and Bugle Corps that had a show in Tupelo. Although I wasn't too fond of the weather, being from the Pacific Northwest and all, I gotta tell you just how great the people are down there. Everyone is so hospitable and sympathetic to guys in need.
I can't even remember how many times we had high school communities come out to our rehearsals leading up to the show, and giving us cold, fresh, pure water to drink in the hot, humid weather.
    Anyways, enough of my past.
Just wanted to say that I really like your stuff, keep up the great work.
