I'm an experienced sports journalist that has firm goals of covering the NBA for a major media outlet or utilizing my writing skills to work for a professional team in the media relations department. I have extensive practical work experience that will make me an asset in the sports and/or journalism field, and would like my work here on Bleacher Report to assist me in getting recognized by the right people in the industry.
- As sports editor for KnightNews.com, I was the lead reporter for University of Central Florida's online paper, KnightNews.com. UCF boasts the second-largest student body in the United States, meaning I've published for an audience of 60,000 people. As sports editor, I got credentials to cover the Orlando Magic, where I got access to be in the locker room, conduct pre and post-game interviews, and attend all team media functions.
I have multiple 1-on-1 interviews with plenty of NBA stars, including Derrick Rose, James Harden and Ryan Anderson. You can view my interviews at my YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheNBAllen
I have been nationally published in outlets such as Fox Sports and CBS Sports, while also being published in mid-major outlets such as the Orlando Sentinel, Sun Sentinel and KnightNews. I have written for Bleacher Report on and off for five years, and currently am an Orlando Magic Featured Columnist.
I hope to be nationally syndicated from writing with B/R and hope that my skills can be seen by people in the industry.

This is more than basketball, this is about sports in general. I politely ask for your attention here for a few minutes.
Pedro Heizer needs to keep his deal.
He quoted to Jonathan Guario "@Jonathan if the superteam comes true I'll stuff a fork full of food up my mouth and write an article telling the world how wrong I was and that you were right."
Pedro still hasn't kept his deal.
Pedro commented on the article Who says it's hard to 3-peet a championship-everybody by Miami.
There used to be 26 comments now there is 25 wonder where the one went?
"I've been saying this since day one. LeBron James won't sign and was never going to sign with Miami."
LOL don't quit your day job
Allen,
Sorry I've missed some of your recent stories. I promise to get to them this weekend. I've just been real busy with the move out here to California this past month...lol
I thought you might like to check out my latest piece about the possibility of Pat Riley and the Miami Heat creating a "Superteam" of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh:
