Brian Scott

Brian Scott is a New Orleans, LA based businessman, radio host, and freelance writer covering political, social, historical, and sports-related themes. Brian has joined the Bleacher Report because he is quite simply a fanatic of the great game of College Football. As an LSU Alumnus (1997) and LSU Football season ticket holder he naturally follows the LSU Tigers very closely, but also chooses to objectively follow not just other SEC teams, but every other team of interest in the nation. After all, in the BCS era everybody's W/L record affects everbody's season!

Having traveled to many college campuses across America, Brian enjoys nothing more than a traditional college town with fans that are as passionate about their football team as they are about their religion. You will notice him giving props to teams with storied traditions as well as to modern era up and comers who are bulding traditions that will no doubt last for generations.

When Brian isn't in the press box at Tiger Stadium, you can no doubt find him at the local tavern in front of a tall pint and any big screen TV showing sports. Keep a watch out for this guy, because you never know when he'll be strolling around your college town!

Now you can listen to Brian every Monday on the "Man Cave Radio Show" from 5-6pm CST on ESPN Radio New Orleans or online at

Contact Brian at if you would like to be a guest on the show.

Your article on Newton and the Heisman is spot on. Don't pretend that integrity is a factor...make it simply the bet player, no matter what. Like everything else in this country, it's time to reduce our expectations in regard to college football. Pay the players, drop the phony morality and make it 100% about competition and money. Who are we fooling? This country is halfway into the toilet and there's no reason to stop the descent. I switched from MLB to AAA and I can switch from NCAA football to the high school game if I have to. Tune in tonight to see if Cam can keep his answers straight this time...he couldn't with Fowler...and these guys are role models for our children...

In regards to your "Worst Calls of the BCS Era."

You do realize that if Instant Replay had been in effect during the 2002 season, the NCG wouldn't have even gone to OT? The refs called a Chris Gamble catch incomplete that would have give OSU a 1st Down with 2 minutes left in the game and Miami had no timeouts.

Moreover, instant replay cannot overturn a penalty. Good job with that football knowledge thingy.
