Keith Mathews is a retired Air Force officer and pilot who is now a computer (Macintosh) repairman. He was raised in California, lived all over the States and currently resides in (ugh) Georgia, which bi-annually trades places with Florida for the honor of being rated the easiest state in the Union in which to bribe an elected official or a bureaucrat. Cry your heart out, New Jersey, because we are number one!

He has written about sports for years, has favored the San Francisco 49ers since 1979 and is enjoying the 2012 NFL season, with all its ups and downs.

Keith: I do apologize for the late second edit. As a copy editor, I sometimes peruse the site for articles that I could edit, and yours showed up on my Team Stream on the front page. I looked, saw there were a few things that could help clean up the article a bit and made the changes. Hopefully they helped. Your article is still very much a part of the San Francisco 49ers Team Stream so you should undoubtedly still get a few more reads/comments on that article. Otherwise, hopefully both sets of edits will give you some tips for your future articles :)

Thanks for becoming a fan, Keith! I really enjoy your 49ers articles. I moved to San Francisco last year and got the 49er bug immediately! What do you think of their chances this year? Thanks again!

I didn't make the edit myself. It might have been a copy editor. If you think something I write could be improved or could use some work, contact me directly instead of leaving me a comment on a thread. Thanks.

    Hey Keith,

There's nothing wrong with saying receiving corps. Via the Merriam-Webster dictionary: Corps - a group of persons associated together or acting under common direction; especially : a body of persons having a common activity or occupation . Wide receivers work together as a group to catch passes from their quarterback.

We just published articles at almost exactly the same time and I think they're going to be really good together!

Yours is on Harbaugh's leadership and mine is how Joe Staley is following his lead and becoming a leader on the offensive line.

    Nice 1-2 punch! :)
