I read about the limitations they put on you doing the Jimmy Jones interview. Heck Jimmy could have just mail them in. I am sure he was told before hand what the question where going to be.

I would really like to know his take on the owners and players situation.

You realize if you couple a rookie wage scale with a 18 plus games schedule it will play right into the owners hand. If you increase the number of games you shorten the players careers . The rookie scale sounds good, pay the rookies less and we pay the veterans more. I'll bet the big bucks will come in in that fifth year. Most of the veterans will not make it to that fifth year and the owners get to draft a rookie at a much lower wage scale. It is the main reason the players want the money up front because they know that are not very likely to be around to collect the big bucks at the back end of the contract.

I'll bet you very few players will get a third contract it will be one or two contracts and you are out on the street.

The corporation I worked for wanted a 20 to 25 percent turn around each year. Prevents having to pay out the big bucks.
