My name is Tim Doherty. I am a college student in Massachusetts studying jounalism. I really enjoy writing and am a huge Boston sports fan. My favorite teams are the Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox.

Sports are my passion, and I love watching, writing, and talking about all kinds of sports. My three favorite leagues to follow are the NBA, NFL, and MLB.

I try to look at both sides of every argument and give a well thought out and researched opinion. Sometimes my views are controversial, but are always backed by strong evidence.

Lesson number 1: When referring to a group of people or the makeup of a particular position of a team, the term is corp, not core. The confusion may lie in that they are pronounced the same. Example: The New York Jets Wide Receiver Corp is better than it was in 2010 and 2011.

I see that you're a Boston/New England fan, so why bother writing about the Jets if you're going to do nothing but trash them? Stay in your jurisdiction and I'll stay in mine.

Hey, what happened to you. Don't be sore just because everything you've written so far has shown that the 2011 Saints are a much better offensive team than the Pats were in 07. It's the magic of knowing as opposed to guessing like you do.

So, did you give up? When you last posted you told me how the Pats were greater because it took more throws to get the total offensive output which might have been relevant except that the Saints achieved the same offensive output with fewer throws and then went on to get another 1800 additional yards with their additional throws so your own standard showed that the Saints were the greatest offensive team in history. This is why it's so important to be consistent which of course your'e not. Sorry, I must admit to making an error as the Saints actually outgained the Pats by over 2000 and not by 900 yards. Thanks for proving my argument.

If it helps too while you're figuring out the next thing to bolster my arguments, the Saints also ran for almost the same yardage as the Pats but on fewer attempts so they not only threw for over 2000 more yards but they ran for the same on fewer tries.

Thanks for getting back to me Tim. Yes, I really do love to write. I've done it since I was a kid. I used to be published in the sports opinion column in the Chicago papers before I was even a teenager. Unfortunately, I didn't pursue it as a career when I was younger.

I do a sports radio show too, but writing is my passion. I wish I could turn back the clock and pursue what I loved for my career.

For you, at your age, whatever you do, try to make your career something you love to do. I guarantee you will always be happy. Best of luck to you, and I'll definitely check you out when I have a chance. Again, feel free to contact me anytime if you want me to look at something you did.

Thanks so much Tim for those nice comments about my writing. I really appreciate it. If I can ask, what is it you like about the way I write? Can you immediately tell it's my writing on pretty much anything I write?

I think I have a certain style that comes through no matter what I write about, but that's just me, so I would like to know what you think regarding that.

I don't remember seeing you comment on my articles, or at least not on a regular basis, so it's nice to know people out there appreciate what you do. I had someone else recently tell me that a lot more people know about me than I might think. I have certain "fans" so to speak, that comment on most things I do, but it's nice when you are recognized and that people appreciate what you do. It makes it worthwhile, because I have to find the time to write. I often do it at work, and I don't have as much free time as I would like to write more often.

I would also be interested in checking out some of your stuff. Send me links when you have a chance when you write something. I don't always check the bulletin board every day, but I will definitely get to it.

Thanks again so much for reaching out to me the way you did.
