I recently graduated with an English degree from Cambridge and have been looking at journalism among other things as I try to settle on a first full-time job. I have always loved sport, whether playing, watching or reading about it, so the chance to combine the two seems ideal! I shall enjoy contributing and reading whatever I end up doing with my life.

I have played, watched and enjoyed a huge variety of sports over the last 15 years, with cricket and rugby my all-round favourites. I have graced - or more often trampled across - the field of play in football, squash, tennis, badminton, ultimate frisbee, water polo, athletics and petanque, while I go TV-mad at Olympics time and hope my rare bouts of illness line up with the Winter Olympics or some snooker from the Crucible.

If you like my stories, have a look at my sports blog, launching September 2009: http://row-zed.blogspot.com/

My first syndication! Although they did mess the title up big time:

It's a tiny bit late as it took longer than expected to write it, but my review of 2009 is finally here! Last year's one won the AOTD award and hopefully I've done enough on this one to equal that feat, but I'll leave you to be the judge of that!

With 25 great moments from 12 different sports, and with everyone from Barcelona to France, the Yankees to the Lakers, and Usain Bolt to Tiger Woods there is something for everyone in this slideshow, plus a ranked top ten as the final slide!

If you get a chance would you mind checking it out? Cheers!

I've done an internship @ Goal & I'm on Bleacher as an editor (again, on an internship)...

I actually work at the NHS on their management training scheme, but I also do a bit of work for Goal...I'll send you a message about that though...

I hear what you're saying and I do appreciate you taking the time to give me feedback as it is my goal to better myself.

I urge you to be as harsh as you can in the future, how else are we to learn from our mistakes?
The practical solutions you speak of do sound quite promising, I'm aware that the management is going to be making a few changes to the system as to benefit the writers in general.

Let me borrow a comment from your article, shall I?
Interesting plans, but like the current system....people will find it's flaws and exploit them.

You see the problem with the "upgrade" in writer rankings is wherever a change is made, you can satisfy both parties in most cases.

On a website filled with writers of different opinions and different standings on whether or not the system is fine or flawed, you will not always have everyone agreeing with how things are done.

With that said, I am not nor do I have an intention to become a peace maker but I'm merely saying that what a change might bring is not a sense of fairness to all but an illusion of fairness to some.

Once again, thanks for the feedback.
We may not see eye to eye on this matter and if we did, I might have not become a fan. :)
