Theodore G. “Ted” Westervelt is founder of soccerreform.us, a grassroots advocacy dedicated to uniting US club soccer under the umbrella of an open league system, featuring promotion/relegation and autonomous clubs. Founded in April, 2009, it is the only organization in the United States devoted solely to this mission.
After interning in the White House in 1993, he embarked on a fifteen-year career as a political consultant in Washington, DC, where he directed the development of dozens of political campaigns. Ted’s interest in the beautiful game began while playing junior varsity soccer at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.
A two-time DC United season ticket holder, spectator at the first MLS cup and World Cup ’94, U.S. MNT supporter, and committed Fulhamerican, he currently resides in Denver, Colorado.
Ted,
Since you live in Denver, are you a Rapids fan? And if so, did I meet you at the tailgate? I remember talking to someone with ideas similar to yours...

Hey,
I've just written a special tribute to one of the greatest coaches in English football history and one of the greatest characters in the game who passed away earlier today: Sir Bobby Robson. If you've got time, can you check it out?
