As expected, LSU running back Leonard Fournette dominated the Texas Bowl en route to five total touchdowns in a 56-27 win.

LSU 56, Texas Tech 27—Final

Behind a dominant performance on the ground, the LSU Tigers ran over the Texas Tech Red Raiders by a 56-27 margin in the 2015 AdvoCare Texas Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes and the Red Raiders kept things interesting through two-plus quarters. The Red Raiders' quarterback was brilliant all night, deftly eluding pressure and extending plays to throw for 370 yards and four touchdowns.

But it wasn't enough, as Leonard Fournette and the rest of the LSU offense hit its stride in the second half. The sophomore rolled up 256 offensive yards and five total touchdowns, falling just 47 yards short of a 2,000-yard season.

For both Fournette and the team as a whole, the arrow should be pointing up heading into 2016.
