Michigan St. 55, Penn St. 16—Final

Sparty has punched its ticket to the Big Ten Championship Game.

Led by Connor Cook and the defense, No. 5 Michigan State throttled the Nittany Lions by a 55-16 margin. On senior night, Cook returned from a shoulder injury to throw three touchdowns, controlling the game from the onset. With the defense pitching in two scores, Penn St. never had a chance.

On a night when he could have stepped up on a national stage, Christian Hackenberg faltered once again. The junior turned the ball over three times and needed 39 attempts to put up 257 yards and two touchdowns.

The win keeps Michigan State in the playoff hunt, setting up a play-in game with No. 3 Iowa next week.
